Where is Alliance Counseling Works located?
We currently have offices located in South Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Cypress, and Kyle. Detailed directions are provided when you schedule your first appointment.
What services do you offer?
We provide individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, and specialized treatment for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and life transitions. Each therapist brings unique training and therapeutic approaches.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we are in network with most major insurance companies, including BlueCross BlueShield, United, Ascension, Baylor Scott & White, Sendero Aetna, Cigna, Moda, Sana, Lyra, and Medicare. We also offer self-pay and low-cost options.
What are your fees?
Session fees vary depending on the therapist and service type. Please contact us for current rates or for help finding a therapist that fits your budget.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice for a cancellation. Missed or late-canceled appointments may be subject to a cancellation/no show fee.
Do you offer a low-cost counseling option?
Yes. Our Low-Cost Counseling Clinic provides counseling with supervised graduate-level interns.
Do you offer in-person or virtual appointments?
Yes. We offer both in-person sessions and secure telehealth sessions for clients throughout Texas.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can request an appointment through our website’s contact form, by phone, or by email. We’ll help you connect with a therapist who fits your needs.
Are services available in Spanish?
Yes — evaluations and counseling sessions are available in English or Spanish.
Counseling FAQs
What can I expect during my first session?
Your first session is a chance to share what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin building a collaborative plan with your therapist. If seeking services for a child, we ask that a parent attend their child’s first intake session.
How long are therapy sessions?
Most sessions are approximately 55 minutes.
How long does counseling last?
It depends on your goals — we adjust as needed.
How often are sessions?
Most begin weekly, with flexibility over time.
What approaches do counselors use?
A mix of evidence-based and relational approaches, tailored to you.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is a top priority. All sessions are confidential except in situations where disclosure is required by law to ensure safety. Your therapist will go over this in detail in your first session.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
Length of treatment varies by individual. Some clients come for short-term support, while others prefer ongoing therapy. Your therapist will work with you to determine what feels right.
Do you offer trauma-focused therapy or EMDR?
Yes. Several of our therapists offer trauma-informed care, including EMDR and other evidence-based treatments. Contact us to find the right clinician for your needs.
Can I switch therapists if I’m not feeling a good fit?
Absolutely. A strong therapeutic fit is essential. We’re happy to help you transition to another therapist within our practice if desired.
